# Free shipping — now limited to the countries you set

## Why this matters

A free shipping reward funded for one market still worked on orders shipping elsewhere. A Location condition on a free shipping reward now reaches checkout.

### Checkout enforces the country

The code works only on orders shipping to the countries you list. Joy reads the order's shipping address at checkout.

### Shoppers see where it applies

The reward shows **Only applies to orders shipping to …**, so shoppers know before they add to cart.

### Every condition has to match

The editor says **All conditions are met**. A reward or perk with several conditions now requires all of them, not just one.

> **Illustrative question**
> I ship worldwide but fund free shipping for Canada only. How do I keep the code off orders to other countries? Open your Free shipping program, add a Location condition set to Canada, and save. The code then works only on orders shipping to Canada.

## How to access and use

1. In Joy, go to **Reward programs → Redeeming programs** and open your **Free shipping program**.
2. In the **Condition** card, open **Advanced conditions** and add a condition under **Customer → Location**.
3. Choose **Is equal to** or **Includes**, then select the countries where the reward applies.
4. Click **Save**. The program summary shows which orders the code works on.

## Good to know

Location conditions are available on the **Advanced** plan and above. Below Advanced, Joy keeps the condition but doesn't apply it, and the editor shows a warning. Only free shipping codes are limited at checkout: on Discount, Buy X Get Y and Free Gift programs a Location condition filters which rewards a shopper sees, and the code still works in any country. A shopper with no country on their profile still sees the reward, and checkout makes the final check. Review any program with more than one condition, since every condition has to match now.
