# Joy AI Agents — the loyalty AI that actually acts

## Why this matters

Joy AI Agents takes action on your loyalty program using your store's own data. Click "Set up with AI" during onboarding and the agent reads your store, plans a program, and prepares the settings in one conversation.

### Build your program from store data

The agent reads your products, order history, customer segments, and average order value, then creates earning programs, VIP tiers, and referral settings. Each one arrives as a configuration for you to confirm.

### Ask questions about your own numbers

Ask about your retention and the agent queries your revenue trends, customer cohorts, and order history through ShopifyQL. A collapsible Thinking section shows how it reached the answer.

### Prefill settings where you configure them

On the VIP Tier and Referral pages, the agent offers to prefill the configuration from your store data. The Quickstart checklist on your Home dashboard has inline AI at each step.

## How to access and use

### Step 1: Open Joy AI

Click the magic wand icon in the bottom-left corner of the Joy app. The AI panel opens on the right side of the screen.

### Step 2: Ask or run a command

Type your message in the **Chat** tab, or type / to pick a built-in command such as /plan-loyalty-program.

### Step 3: Review the preview card

When you ask it to configure something, Joy AI shows a preview card with the fields and values it will set.

### Step 4: Apply and save

Click the button on the card to open the settings page with the fields filled in. Review each field, then click **Save**.

## Good to know

Joy AI is in Beta and available on Essential plans and above. Nothing is saved until you save the form yourself.

## Frequently asked questions

### Will Joy AI change my program without my approval?

No. Most changes arrive as a prefilled form you save yourself. Adjusting a customer's points runs from a confirmation card once you approve it, and the activity log records it as an admin adjustment.

### Can I see what Joy AI remembers about my store?

Yes. The **Memory** tab shows what Joy AI keeps between conversations, such as your program goals and past decisions. You can edit or delete any item there.

### What if Joy AI gives me a wrong answer?

Verify it against Joy's documentation before you act on it, because Joy AI's answers are sometimes inaccurate.
