# Your customers just got four new ways to access their rewards — without a password

## Why this matters

Let customers reach their points without a password form. Joy now supports four [login methods inside the loyalty widget](https://help.joy.so/on-site-content/branding/widget-login), so customers sign in without leaving the page.

### Offer one-tap sign-in with Shop

Customers with the Shop app tap **Sign in with Shop** and the widget updates in place, with no page reload or redirect. This method works with new and legacy Shopify customer accounts.

### Add email codes and social login

On Shopify Plus with legacy customer accounts, Multipass unlocks Email OTP, Google, and Facebook login. Joy manages the Google and Facebook sign-in, so you do not create OAuth credentials.

### Show the program after sign-in

Whichever method a customer uses, the widget then shows their points balance, VIP tier status, and the rewards available to redeem.

> Turn on Shop App login first. If you use legacy customer accounts on Shopify Plus, add Email OTP next for broader coverage.

## How to access and use

### Step 1: Turn on Shop App login

In Joy, go to **Settings → Additional Features** and toggle **Sign in with Shop App** on.

### Step 2: Enable Multipass in Shopify

For the other methods, go to **Shopify Admin → Settings → Customer accounts → Multipass**, enable it, and copy the **Multipass Secret Key**.

### Step 3: Paste the key in Joy

In **Settings → Additional Features**, find the **Multipass** section, toggle it on, paste your secret key, and click **Save**.

### Step 4: Switch on more methods

Email OTP is visible by default once Multipass is enabled. Toggle **Sign in with Google** and **Sign in with Facebook** on as needed.

## Good to know

All four methods are available on all Joy plans. Email OTP, Google, and Facebook require Shopify Plus with legacy customer accounts; on new customer accounts, only Shop App login is available.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I turn on several login methods at once?

Yes. Enable any combination, and customers see every enabled option in the widget.

### Why does the page reload after Email OTP or social login?

Those methods sign customers in through Multipass, which requires a Shopify redirect. Shop App login does not reload the page.

### How does Joy protect the Multipass secret key?

Joy encrypts the key at rest. Multipass tokens are single-use and time-limited, and all data travels over HTTPS.
