How to access and use
Step 1: Connect Instagram
In Joy, open Integrations → Instagram and follow the connection flow.
Step 2: Create the Live Comment program
Go to Reward programs → Earning programs → Add program → Social activity, then select Comment on Instagram Live from the event dropdown.
Step 3: Set the reward
Set the points value and an earning limit for the program.
Step 4: Add a Shopify Flow workflow
To automate follow-up, create a workflow in Shopify Flow with the trigger Customer commented on Instagram live, then add actions such as a Klaviyo event or a customer tag.
Frequently asked questions
Do several comments on one Live earn more points?
No. A customer earns once per Live video, and extra comments on the same Live do not stack.
Do comments on a Live replay earn points?
No. Joy tracks comments posted while the broadcast is live. Comments added after the Live ends are not tracked.
Can I connect a personal Instagram account?
No. Connect an Instagram Business or Creator account to Joy, because personal accounts are not supported.
