Why this matters

Joy now connects to Attentive, so your SMS program can act on what happens in your loyalty program. Customer profiles carry loyalty data, and the events you pick arrive as custom events that can start a journey.

  • Text customers when points cover a reward

Joy - Points Eligible for Reward fires with the reward name and the points it takes. Your text can name the exact reward the customer's balance now covers.

  • Warn customers before points expire

Joy - Points Expiring Soon fires seven days before the date, carrying the amount and the expiry date. The customer has a week to come back and spend the balance.

  • Segment offers by VIP tier

Every Attentive profile carries the customer's VIP tier and points balance, updated as they change in Joy. A Gold-only offer takes a single segment filter.

Try this
In Attentive, open Journeys and start one from the custom event Joy - Points Expiring Soon. Write a text that names the amount and the expiry date the event carries.

How to access and use

  1. Step 1: Connect your Attentive account

In Joy, open Integrations → Attentive and click Connect. Approve access in the Attentive tab that opens.

  2. Step 2: Sync your customers

Click Sync again to send every customer's loyalty data to Attentive. To subscribe customers as they sync, paste a Sign-up Source ID from Attentive's Sign-up Units.

  3. Step 3: Choose your events

Click Select triggers, tick the events you want, and click Confirm. Joy sends a test of each so they appear in Attentive.

Joy then updates only customers who already subscribe to your Attentive messages.

Why don't my selected events show up in Attentive?

New events can take a few minutes to appear. Click Test trigger to send them again, then check that the email you used belongs to an Attentive subscriber.
